So here's the groceries for the week.
I went to the same Korean/Japanese store in downtown, and then went to Fresh & Easy instead of Trader Joe's. Reason? I've got some coupons, that's why :)
I guess I live in a pretty fortunate neighborhood. Trader Joe's and Whole Foods are 5min walking distance, Vons and Ralph's are about 5min drive away, and Gelson's and F&E are about 2min drive from my house :p There are so many grocery store options. yay.
Oh, and I also went to Costco trip the other day and got some Fillet Mignon, Pork Tenderloin, a bag of frozen Salmon (I still have some shrimp and orange roughy fillets).
Here's how I store the bulk of meat in the freezer.
I cut and put them in Ziploc bags for single use.
Here's the breakdown for each bags;
Beef Fillet Mignon = $8.10x3
Pork Tenderloin = $4.19x4
Salmon = $3.14x7
Orange Roughy = $2.71x7
Chicken = $2.20 (2 breasts in each bags)
I also bought some bacon from Fresh & Easy.
I put 3 slices (cut in half) in each bags.
Bacon = 50 cents x6
6 apples (from Costco) = $3.96
So for the week, assuming I will be using 1 bag of beef, pork, and chicken. And then will be using 2 fillets of orange roughy, 2 fillet of salmon, and two bags of bacon.
With all the stuff I got from Asian market and Fresh & Easy, with including meat and fish for this week;
So far I spent $61.45
Oh, and I still have leftover ground meat from last week, I will be using that for this week too!
Hopefully I don't have to go back to the store for any more food...maybe just for apples...
